“Kukurmutta,” a Hindi poem by Suryakant Tripathi “Nirala,” is a satirical critique of social inequality and capitalist exploitation. Using the metaphor of a mushroom, Nirala illustrates how those in the lower strata of society are often overlooked and crushed by those in power.
